ABOUT THE YEAR 2047
America was failing through another lost presidency. In the struggling years prior to 2040 our democracy was in a downfall. Cyber-terrorism was becoming more prominent each month, with China becoming a hostile partner in computer hacking capabilities.
With the national debt increasing to such an enormous amount, the US Government had no choice but to initiate a National Debt Tax onto every American, young and old. Even technology and the advances in neuropath gateways saw the release of the “Infinite” by MEMORIA. But it was set at impossible costs due to maximized inflation.
Then, just when all hope was drowning, in 2041 Adam Holmesfield, America’s 51st President and first ever Independent Party Leader rose from the prim-cut red, white and blue soapbox to lead a nation. In front of millions, he made promises. But by the beginning of his inaugural term, it became clear that he would not break those promises.

Under the constant threats of cyberterrorism and China's newly developed AI systems, America had no choice but to form the New World Alliance. Joined by the European nations and Japan, their war was against the World Brigade, made up of China, Russia, and the Korean Collective. What began in 2041 soon became known as the War of the West. A fight for freedom, against terroristic oppression.
War helped fuel capitalism, with many major corporations opening factories across the country. It became the sole need for the middle class to work in these industrial powerhouses, producing guns, bombs, bullets, drones, and the like.
One company in particular, however, utilized its own technology towards the warfront. MEMORIA, who had developed the Infinite, had its systems implanted in a great majority of users across the globe. The Infinite itself was quickly replacing handheld smartphones with neuropathic software accessed through the mind. With this, MEMORIA was given exclusive rights to spy on other countries through their usage of the Infinite.
Biotech weapons were soon becoming amassed by both sides. Soldiers who were augmented with technological capabilities. Strengthened limbs and muscles, to enhanced vision and hearing capabilities. Only the best were afforded these augmentations.
And yet, by 2047, both sides sat at a stalemate, as the war continued to rage on.
Within America, a rebellion grew. The Dartwing's, a peace-driven opposition to the War of the West, began to grow from the Eastern Coast. While in the West, anarchist groups started to take siege across California. With Chinese and Korean forces successfully invading Washington and parts of Oregan, the United States was beginning to struggle. Only through ZERO will the outcome of the war conclude ...
